v8930iush2302v3455vlol2397-deac asked: (cont-) flattering, and right for whatever the needs are for the piece. One of the most successful models i've dealt with is the zappos, or city chic (australian designer w/ a us website) online model... they give you returns w/ free shipping within 30 days... which puts you at zero risk. I don't know how the store worked it out, maybe it's in the pricing on the pieces.. but nonetheless, it makes the shopping experience much more painless, building a wardrobe in plus is usually the opposite.
Hi 8planetsandamuse! Thanks for your input about the online store. I understand that shopping online requires taking a risk with ordering clothing and finding that they may not work for you. I’ve worked in online retail before I opened Re/Dress NYC the boutique and I get that it’s not as easy as trying on a bunch of things in a dressing room and buying what fits.
You may not know that Re/Dress is not corporately supported, we are not zappos, which is owned by Amazon (a billion $ company) nor City Chic which is like the Lane Bryant of Australia. We’re just one tiny company and we actually lose money on the shipping costs on every order with the flat rate shipping we charge. We looked around at companies that we consider our compatriots and they all charge shipping (like Modcloth, LucieLu, Monif C…).
What you do get with Re/Dress Online is my expertise buying clothing that I know my customers want and will love. I hand pick everything that is sold on the site. Many things like the vintage pieces are one of a kind or the others are bought in small batches and not found in other stores or websites. We try our best to give you top notch customer service. If you have questions about any items, please email us at online@redressnyc.com or call (800) 328-1517. We will do our best to help you find what you need.
Thanks again for your feedback. We will continue to try to make our shopping experience better and better as time goes on.
